Day 19,770

Hey guys, old fat Grampa Bob here, waiting for one young man to return from his Friday night extracurricular activities.

It’s been a long week here at Casa del Bobster.

We had a house inspection today, wife had a busy week on her side of the life, and I had to teach a class that has become the bane of my existence… but it went ok this week, I guess.

I’m toying with the thought of participating in something called NaNoWriMo, or National Novel Writing Month. The way my schedule is breaking, I might have time to do some writing, and it coincides with this event. It’s the 3rd day of November, so why not think about writing a novel?

I suppose I could write it as I write this blog – as an attempt to explain to my descendants what is happening now in the world.

Might be ok.

Might suck.

But I won’t really know until I sit down and try to pound the thing out. It will most likely come out as a stream of thought mess, but you never know until you try.

Might be worth spending more than a few hours on. Just have to make sure it’s accurate. And child-friendly.

Peace y’all.

Day 19,769

It’s a Thursday night in November… 11/2/2017.

We’re chilling here at Casa del Bobster, munching on some malted milk balls. Yeah, they’re probably bad for me, but sometimes I just don’t care.

Sugar.

Yum.

So, when you go back and chat with your teachers about what happened this day in history. Today, Carter Page ad to testify before Congress, and provided information that essentially proved that the Attorney General, Jeffrey Beauregard Sessions, lied under oath before Congress.

That’s two different witnesses to the #TrumpRussia investigation that have provided conflicting testimony regarding Sessions sworn statements.

Ouch.

I have a feeling this will get worse before it gets better.

Might have had something to do with the fact that the guy wasn’t a scientist… might be an important credential for a chief scientist, don’t you think?

It’s really starting to get a little crazy. The lies. The links. The corruption. The policies that are designed to help a very specific group of administration supporters.

The level of corruption is historic.

But, I figure we get through this and we end up better for it. After all, if things were really that bad, we would have had an assassin from the future show up and eradicate certain problem actors in the play, right?

Brain food…

Peace y’all.

Day 19,768

Hey kids, and, of course, any adults that happen to be reading my drivel.

OK… that’s called self-deprecating humor. Basically, you’re putting yourself down. A lot of people do it, and many do it so that whoever they are around come back with positive statements, or semi-positive statements like “Oh, don’t be so hard on yourself. You suck, but you don’t suck nearly as bad as you think you do”.

I’m probably more guilty of doing that than I’ll readily admit to, but I do have flaws in my personality, and trying to seek approval and acceptance is probably something that I’ve been a little obnoxious about over the years.

When I was a kid, my dad was with a big company, International Harvester, and he got promoted a few times. We started in Sioux City, and when I was four we moved to Topeka, Kansas. We stayed there three years then moved to Omaha. We were only there about six months when dad got promoted again, so it was off to Kansas City, Missouri for a year. Then it was the move to Salina, where I finished out elementary and high school. We still moved once, between my seventh and eighth-grade years.

I think one of the reasons I can be the most outgoing person you’ve ever seen was due to personality traits. I seemed to always start over making friends.

Diagnostic facilityMost chiropractors will do a thorough exam in generic cialis purchasing that a discussion with you throughout your first consultation. Now that my kids are in college or high school, I realize a lot of kids have to start over making new friends and they never have to leave the house they were born in. It’s sometimes more about what’s happening around you than what’s happening to you directly. Environmental stuff…

Anyway, that’s another chapter in the weird life of Bob. Hope you guys have good friends in your lives that reinforce the positive and help you deal with the negative.

Peace y’all.

Day 19,767

It’s Halloween night! We’re out of candy!

Gramma is asleep in a recliner with Lucy and Freya sleeping with her.

I’m watching a show I like “Forged in Fire”… a knife/weapon-making competition.

I’ve had a good day. Class went pretty well, and all of my students seem to be doing ok.

I’m a bit tired. Haven’t slept as well as I would like the last couple of days.  Maybe tonight is the night I get to sleep in good order and stay asleep throughout the night.

I think I’ve been waking up too much.

To be really frank, I’m tired.

And I’m kind of writing right now just to fill up the page and get to my 200-word pledge.

It’s not about you guys. It’s about a 54-year-old man having to write when in reality, I’d much rather be doing something else.

It’s the nature of life, I suppose. You have some sort of responsibility, whether to yourself or others, and you want to fulfill it. Sometimes for the joy it brings to others, other times, just to have it done so you can move on to the next thing.

I’m almost there.

I could post a picture of my wife sleeping right now, but I won’t.

Peace y’all.

Day 19,766

Hey guys, just doing a little writing on a Monday night, Chiefs are hosting the Broncos on Monday Night Football, and the Chiefs are up 29-13 in the fourth quarter.

I’m thinking the Chiefs look good to win tonight.

My wife is back from her little excursion to Washington, DC. I joked and asked her if she was the biggest story in DC today. If you are looking a back through history, the answer to that is “Probably not”. Indictments were announced, arrests were made in the Trump-Russia investigation.

From my perspective, this is the tip of the iceberg. Casual observers would likely predict a number of indictments in the coming weeks.

I just hope they get rid of the corruption, as much as they can, out of our federal government.

We’re overdue for some reforms. Campaign finance. Lobbying. The money is just an invitation for corruption, and most Americans are sick of it.

In the coming weeks, we’ll likely see Trump’s withering grasp on reality continue to deteriorate, and he’ll likely make idiotic posts in social media blaming everything on everybody, and never, ever taking responsibility for his role in the mess that will forever bear his name.

Karma is a bitch, and this bitch just had puppies, and they all bite.

Peace y’all.

Day 19,765

Another Sunday evening, and I obviously have a little writing to do.

Hi future family members.

I’ve been getting ready for my class today, and I really haven’t spent a lot of time doing anything that falls into the “fun” category.

I’m a technical trainer by profession. I guess I fall somewhere between a high school teacher and college professor. Most of my students are people that work in the IT industry, as network administrators, network designers, and other folks that found themselves making their way in the world working with computers when their master’s degree in 18th-century French poetry didn’t work out.

There are a lot of people that started off looking into other careers that found out that the job market was a wee bit stronger in the computer field.

Wife is out of town this weekend… she has some important meetings in DC tomorrow. I hope that you get to look back and say “Ah! That’s when that coll thing happened for grampa and gramma and all of those other great cool things happened afterward”.

I hope that, too.

We’ll laugh about it over roasted marshmallows one day, I hope.

In the meantime, I need to think about getting to sleep.

Love you guys.

Peave y’all.

Day 19,764

Hey, gang, I’m back. Writing and eating some breakfast cereal at 10:00 at night to try and bump up my blood sugar level so my body overreacts and puts me to sleep here in another half an hour… unless gramma wants to keep me up a little longer, and that’s another story for another time that I’ll never be talking about. Ever.

So, my football team actually looked competitive today, but I think today was an example of the players on KU’s football team getting tired of hearing people make fun of them. They still lost, but they looked like they actually belonged on a D-1 football field most of the time. One or two plays going the other way, and you might have seen KU win a home football team against a reputable opponent.

Didn’t happen. We lost. Oh well.

Tomorrow, it’s a trip to airport for Gramma early, then Mass late in the morning. I’ve got some work to do to prepare for my class on Monday. Chiefs don’t play until Monday night, so tomorrow could be a pretty productive day for me getting ready for my class, and I’ll likely take care of a few other errands as well.

That’s about it, really.

Time to start looking around.

Peace y’all.

Day 19,763

OK, time to invoke my 12-hour waiver. I was up late last night, waiting on kids to get home, did some driving, and it was after midnight before I hit the hay, so this is my makeup blog post.

What’s happening in the world today Well, at least two indictments (sealed) have come down from the Mueller investigation into the Russian election tampering this last elections cycle.

Trump is probably warming up the Pardon-o-matic to start pardoning anyone that knows anything about what really happened with Trump-Russia.

Meanwhile, the right-wing folks are throwing accusations around like confetti. There’s the Uranium One deal (you can look that one up, there should be plenty of information on that in your day and age), and the “Steele Dossier”, which, ironically, was started by a conservative newspaper in Washington, DC.

Things are gonna get weird, but today… today is gameday.

KU hosts K-State in football today. It will likely be a bloodbath.
The plant contains silymarin which acts as both a anti-inflammatory cheap sildenafil india and a antioxidant, thus aiding the liver in the reduction of testosterone. Our football team is bad. National sports personalities making fun of the program, recruits that had committed are now backing out.

I don’t know how KU is going to get out of this. Players would rather sit the bench for a winner than believe they can play well and get things turned around here. Social media is compounding the problem.

That’s enough. More later.

Peace y’all.

Day 19,762

Hey kids!

It’s a Thursday here in Larryville (stop and think about it, “Larry” is an abbreviation for the name “Lawrence”, and “ville” is a suffix associated with towns or villages, so “Larryville” is a slang term for Lawrence… happy to share).

Looks like Gramma and I will be spending this Christmas in the house we’ve owned for 17 years right here. We thought we had set the hook, but alas, they ran off under the boat and tossed the hook. Stuff like this happens, I guess.

We really can’t complain. Moving in the winter pretty much sucks. We had a house, and it got sold out from underneath us, and that agent was representing the family that wanted our house, so we stuck to our guns. I was going to be damned to let her have her cake and eat it, too.

It gives us time to get a few more ducks in a row and shop around a little bit. We only want to move once. I don’t want to have to bolt for the door, belongings in hand, then find us renting someplace for six months.
To restrict the cholesterol elevation and to protect our heart function, sample cialis application of a proper drug therapy is required that can perform to rectify the disorder. And I hope you guys get to come visit us at this place for years to come and have lots and lots of fun playing in the yard. I’ll try to make sure you can go barefoot on the lawn. That’s my job.

Peace y’all.

Day 19,761

Ah, decisions, decisions.

Some days I hate having to make decisions.

Last decision I felt really good about was the decision to stick with quilted two-ply toilet paper.

Now, your grandmother and I have to worry about all the little decisions having to do with selling our home.

Some folks are interested.

Dammit.

I was just starting to settle into this idea that we might wait until next spring before we have to worry about selling and moving, but there’s a family out there that is really close.

Really close.

It is normal for experiencing and seeing signs of ED condition, make sure that you talk to your doctor. viagra samples no prescription Apart from questions about its effectiveness, one of the most common questions would be – raindogscine.com cheapest cialis? To be straight, there is no generic name for what we popularly known as cialis today. Q: Does Menopause also browse for source cheap viagra strike men? A: Menopause is a term which is deployed to denote the end of women’s fertility.
We’ll counter, and see if we can get to our goal sale price.

The real problem we’re dealing with is the lack of acceptable properties that we’d want to move into. The folks that are interested in the house are represented by the same agent that sold the house we had a contract on out from underneath us. I want to be the bigger guy and just accept it as a business. That’s what it is… it’s a business.

I’m still a little bit pissed off.

Now we’re stuck. We have a house. We’re selling a house. And if we sell the house, we won’t have a crack at the house we really wanted. There are other houses out there but none of them are what we were hoping for. Some are smaller, some are too expensive, some are sitting on lots smaller than we hoped for.

It’s pretty darn aggravating.

Oh well. .. roll with it.

Peace y’all.
