It’s Monday night here in rural Douglas County, and I’m here to take a few moments and drop off a little note to the future.

Today I started one of the most interesting and challenging classes of my career. I have a total of twelve students. That in itself isn’t the most challenging part. I’ve only got a three-day class this week, and then, I only have two remote students, one in St. Louis, one in Phoenix. Next week, I’m back on a five-day class, as well as the third week in this little stretch.

Then summer scheduling kicks in and that will have its own degree of weirdness.

Don’t get me wrong…I love what I do. I like the variety of classes that I teach. I like my coworkers, and I have had pretty positive interactions with just about all of my students over the years.
