Good day, good afternoon, good evening! Chiefs won today, but I’ll be the first to admit that there were times during the scrum with the Ravens that they wouldn’t pull it out. Chiefs had a couple of jaw-dropping plays in the fourth quarter to stay in contention. With less than a minute and a half to play and down by a touchdown, Chiefs converted on a 4th and 9 to setup what became a tying touchdown.

OK, time to whip out a couple hundred words and then take care of at least responsibility that I’ve been dodging most of the afternoon – I have clean clothes to get put away. 

I’ll admit, I was fairly productive. Got three or four loads of laundry done earlier in the day, and separated all of the clothes base don their respective destinations. 

Lisa is exhausted, and I’m hoping I can get this cranked out before she gets up and walks into our bedroom only to see my clean clothes splayed all over our bed. Yeah, that’s why I need to get this done and get my butt to work getting that stuff put away.

Tomorrow, more of the same. Girls have finals all next week (crazy to think Bonnie has only one more semester!). Dane is focusing on getting his GPA up in an effort to qualify for some other scholarships. Lisa has her students to worry about. I might be the one getting off the hook easy, as the only thing I have to worry about is getting ready for some new Microsoft classes.

Hey gang! It’s the old man again, on a bright, lightly-clouded night on this, the 6th evening in December, in the year 2018.

Hey gang, it’s been a Monday around here… at least my casserole turned out.

It’s a cool, crisp Sunday evening in rural Douglas County. My lovely bride has been doing Christmas stuff with the daughters all afternoon, while I braved the downstairs living room to watch the Chiefs-Raiders game while Dane worked on setting up his new computer in the background. 

My lap served as a perch for several dogs throughout the course of the day, with Freya, Lucy, and Colby each taking their turn. 

The main thing for me is that the Chiefs won, and moved to 10-2, inching closer to another AFC West Championship, and, hopefully, home field advantage through the playoffs. 

Also hoping Eric Berry is able to return sooner rather than later. 

Tomorrow, I’ll keep busy working on my presentation for Wednesday, and looking at the other content I need to stay on top of. Lots of new things coming down the line for me to pay attention to.
