Day 22,501

Evie Day 770

Good morning, and a very happy Thursday to you all. Today is 24 April 2025.

Yesterday was a pretty good day. I have a weird thing about certain numbers, and although I thought that day 22500 might have some significance, it was a nice, easy-going day.

We had some storms pass through, and Odin does not like thunder and lightning. He insinuates himself onto a leg rest, no regard for any of the other dogs… he moves Rosy and Lily out of the way, just throwing his weight around. He just needs to be comforted during the scary, stormy times. Looks like he could be spending some time in my lap later today, as another round of storms is expected to pass through.

I have some work to keep me busy, and a meeting this afternoon on a project I’m working on. Next week is pretty wide open, with a test teach on Monday morning, and some other work on the horizon.

Tonight, the tribes will gather around the light-emitting diode display, and there will be much happiness and slaying of bad guys around the virtual tabletop. Thursday has worked out pretty well for a couple of the guys, but it may not be permanent. The weekday game night has to be fluid for now. Sundays do not appear to be subject to any rescheduling. I’m just grateful to have some social interaction. I don’t get out much.

I see that the guy that ran a fake university wants to redefine accreditation for all of the other schools. There is something sad, and ironic in that. I doubt he’ll have much input on what happens in the engineering school – the way RFK Jr. talks about kids in the spectrum, I hope he never walks into an engineering building – the number of people that are neurodivergent might cause him to declare an epidemic.

OK, that’s enough. Time to get a pot of coffee on, and think about what I want for breakfast. Today might be a good day for a couple of slices of toast with peanut butter and just enough honey to add a little sweetness to the spread.

I hope the world is treating you better than you deserve.

Peace y’all.
