Evelyn Day 13
It is Wednesday, 29 March 2023.
Good morning!
I hope you are having a good morning.
We’re about a week into spring, and there are signs of seasonal change. I look out into the front yard, and I can see the wild onions sprouting. This weekend I’m going to have to check some fluid levels in the mower and the tractor and get them fired up. I’ve got a battery jump-start unit charged up and ready to go. I probably need to run into town to pick up some regular gas and some diesel fuel for the work vehicles.
One of the first things we’ll do is get some water out for the young trees we planted last year. We’ll also take a look at spots to plant another tree or two in the coming weeks.
I’m staying busy. As I look at my schedule for the coming weeks, I keep wondering where I can slip in a few minutes to create some additional resources for use in class.
There are some things going on in the world, but I don’t know if commenting on them is a good thing or a bad thing. Let me just say this… bad things are less likely to happen if you accept people for who they are and support them on their journey to figure a few more things out. We’re all figuring stuff out. I’m almost 60, and I work at trying to figure out some things in my life every day. It’s ok to ask big questions… just understand that the answers to those questions aren’t just going to pop up like a light bulb that was just switched on.
Some answers will come pretty easily, some take more time. Some answers will make you smile, some will make you sad. All we can do is hope that the answers we receive had enough truth to them to keep us on the right course.
I’m going to get this wrapped up and look into making a little breakfast and a pot of coffee.
I hope the world is treating you better than you deserve.
Peace y’all.
