Day 21,487

It is 15 July 2022, a Friday morning, and my day is starting at a manageable pace.

Lisa and I decided to go to a baseball game in nearby Baldwin last evening. My nephew, Keegan, has been spending part of his summer playing for the Baldwin City Blues baseball club, part of a league for small college players to continue playing after their college seasons are over.

It was nice to see him and watch him play (catcher). He had a nice hit in the bottom of the 4th inning that drove in a run. That moved his team to a 9-1 lead, but the opposition came rallying and covered some of that gap, 9-6, but it was getting late for us old folks, so we decided to head home in the 7th inning. We almost stayed out until 10 on a weeknight … thrill seekers to the end.

I’ve got a few meetings today, but nothing too heavy. I’ll spend part of the day and this weekend gearing up the security course I’m delivering with another instructor next week.

The coffee is done… time to go grab a cup…

Later today I’m planning on getting a couple of things done. I’m going to go get my second booster for COVID, and I’m going to run by the courthouse and vote early for the August 2 election. It’s a primary for the most part, but the GOP Secretary of State tried to sneak a constitutional amendment into this election cycle rather than wait for the general election in November, as there is an expectation that there will be greater GOP turnout for the primaries, and their goal to change the state constitution to take away freedom.

I hope the world is treating you better than you deserve.

Peace y’all.
