Day 21,412

It is Sunday, well, heck, it’s Sunday night, and I’m writing about as late in the evening as I’ve written in quite some time.

So, the date is May 1 in the Year of Our Lord 2022. My wife and I have had a good day, with a solid breakfast to start, church online (still not comfortable going back to regular mass), then some work around the yard. I jumped on the new tractor with the cutter set to about 4 inches off the ground and took a few turns around our place and I was quite pleased with the results.

Living in Kansas, growing up as we did, there are always moments in the high school summers that you would work out on somebody’s farm, whether throwing bails or repairing fences or whatever needed to be done. I threw a few bales back in the day, and I respect the work. Dad repaired tractors and had one around our place in Salina, so I knew the basics.

Today I really had a little fun. Did some more cutting, and learned a little more about my tools.
