It is Friday, the end of a long week, and the 11th day of February.
I’m reminded of a conversation I had before the turn of the century, all the back in the 90’s. The topic had to do with being necessary to a business’s operations. Is it good to be irreplaceable?
I argued that it is bad.
Think about it. If you are the only person capable of doing a job, you can’t get promoted. You won’t be given additional responsibilities. You’ll be stuck in role until the business model changes.
So, being irreplaceable is a bad thing… but even worse is thinking you are irreplaceable when, indeed, you are.
As a technical trainer, I’m replaceable. I’m pretty good at what I do, with decades of experience, and, hopefully, an appealing delivery style – but I have no illusions about my employer’s capacity to replace me if I start acting like a fool, throwing tantrums, and making my employer and my entire industry look bad.
If you have erectile issue, contact your doctor and get the necessary medication prescribed for visit description now generic cialis him. The issue in man is an embarrassing condition cipla tadalafil raindogscine.com that leads to loss of confidence, stress and relationship problems. Each medicine is prepared with a viagra pfizer 100mg different method, material and pattern, so it works differently on the condition. That is happening right now. Workers in an entire industry are throwing temper tantrums to draw attention to themselves over something as ridiculous as mask mandates. You know, if you’re going to pick your hill to die on, aim a little higher. It just demonstrates how people think they are part of the solution when all they are doing is compounding the problem.
And they can be replaced… this is going to be the last convoy for a lot of the protesting truckers in Canada, and likely the groups organizing in the US. Anti-science idiots that spend too much time listening to right-wing satellite radio with hosts that will be more than happy to talk good people into putting their asses on the line for a pretty weak cause.
I hope the world is treating you better than you deserve.
Peace y’all.
