Day 20,263

It’s a Saturday night in rural Douglas County. The girls (Lucy and Freya) are back in the bedroom, while Colby hangs out with Dane, Bonnie, and me, as we chill out and watch “Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse” on Amazon Prime.

KU won their final home game today over Baylor, but it was a little too late. K-State and Texas Tech tied for the regular season conference championship, and I congratulate them. Both teams put up impressive numbers, and for the first time ever, K-State had three seniors with over a thousand points in their careers.

I’m a KU fan, though. I have to put this season behind me and focus on the future. I’m hopeful Doke comes back next fall and finally has a complete, injury-free, season. Today, the Jayhawks started four freshman, and all of them will be coming back. Add in a few other players playing up to their potential, and I think KU will be in pretty good shape to compete for the Big 12 championship next year. Heck, they still have the post-season conference tournament this next week, and who knows what will happen there?

Tomorrow I have a short list of things I need to get done, but I’m confident I’ll take care of that in relatively short order, even with the abbreviated day.
