Day 20,152

Hey… hope I got the day right.

It’s a Sunday night, and it’s a quiet one. Lisa and Gracie are in San Diego, and Dane and I are chilling out here at home. Fireplace is crackling with fresh logs kicking out a warm orange dance.

It’s been a pretty gray day here. Thought we might get a little precipitation, but no rain fell, and I don’t think it ever got quite cold enough for snow.

No football of interest to me today. Chiefs play tomorrow night on Monday Night Football against the Rams. This game was originally scheduled for Mexico City, but has been moved to LA instead due to field conditions at the original site.

Thoughts are with the Chiefs’ old quarterback, Alex Smith, who is now with the Washington Redskins. He suffered a serious injury today, breaking his tibia and fibula in his left (?) leg. This was 33 years to the day that Joe Theismann broke his leg as memorialized in the opening of the movie “The Blind Side”. Smith is one of the good guys. I hope he has a complete recovery.

Dane has an event at school tomorrow night, so I need to figure out what I’m going to do about watching the game. I’ll either chill at home, or go over to 23rd Street Brewery to yell at the TV with strangers.

Peace y’all.
