It’s a Friday night in rural Douglas County. Dane is off to the Lawrence High- Lawrence Free State high school football game, Gracie is doing some homework (while her dog is desperate for affection and attention), Bonnie is out with friends, and Lisa and I are playing host to an old friend down from St. Paul, Minnesota for a visit.
I’ve stayed relatively busy throughout the day taking care of stuff. Went by the grocery store and picked up a lottery ticket. It’s been a little crazy around here in that regard, with one lottery pool that’s pushing a billion dollars (drawing tonight) and the other big one at close to a half-billion dollars with the drawing tomorrow night.
I still have a lot of things I have to get handled this weekend, but football will still be on the docket. I need to mow, I need to get some stuff done out in the garage.
