Friday night, the beginning of a short fall break for Lisa and the kids. The pooches are happy to have people around.
Tonight was Senior Night for the marching band over at Dane’s high school. It was nice for the kids to get some recognition. Some of the kids have grown very attached to that program, and there were a couple o moist eyes out there tonight for this little event. Dane was cool, came off the field, took a few pics with Lisa and me, then grabbed a few other pics with some of his other friends.
Tomorrow is going to be a pretty full day to get some things done around here. Heaven knows there are some things I need to get handled, between the barn and the yard. It’s still going to be too wet to mow for the next few days. If the sun comes back out, we could have a pretty aggressive October growth spurt in these long prairie grasses.
I’ve got a couple of workbenches to put together out in the barn. If the weather cooperates I’ll be able to get some real work doneĀ out in the barn. Might need to address part of the lighting issue first. It’s not as well lit as I would like, and my vision certainly isn’t going to help.
