Good evening my future descendants! It’s a Saturday night in rural Douglas County, and there is much to celebrate!
Gracie got a new car!
The single best thing about this event is that I don’t have to worry about getting Gracie a car again!
Or something like that.
Gracie didn’t have what I would call reliable transportation. That has been addressed.
Bonnie has always been so cool about her car. She inherited the car I drove for a year and has never said a negative thing about it.
Dane is going to be driving Ozzy (the 2003 Honda CRV) for a couple of years now already, and he knows he won’t be getting a new set of wheels for a little while. He’s cool. Lisa and I will do the best we can to get him into a better driving situation as soon as we can.
I’m not going to lie, I’m a little jealous of my daughter’s new wheels.

Not a lot.
I know that someday I’ll have to move towards reliable transportation as well. In as much as my 2009 Ford Flex has been an exquisite chariot for me, one day she’ll fail.
And then it will be my turn to think about a new set of wheels.
But until then… have fun Gracie… you and your new GMC Terrain…”Pooky”.
Peace y’all.
