OK, it’s Friday night in rural Douglas County, and the Chiefs have won their second preseason game 28-14, so I’m not in a bad mood at all.
It’s kind of nice to know that regular season NFL and College Football are just around the corner.
Had to get the Flex into the garage today. The brakes had been feeling pretty mushy all week when I was driving it, and today the Brake Fluid light came on, so I rand her over to my mechanic and they let me know that the brake line had been cut and was spurting brake fluid all over the place.
So, they guys told me they were custom ordering a part, and they’d get me back in the good graces of the driving gods tomorrow, coming in on a Saturday to make sure I had wheels for the weekend and next week. I’ll still get back with them next week to take care of my front brakes and my oil change.
I am blessed with good mechanical help.

I know I’m supposed to be focused on getting to my literary goal, but the truth of the matter is, Lisa wants me to join her out in the pool, so I’m going to go do that. I don’t spend as much time in the pool as she would like, but hey, it’s Friday night, and it’s just the two of us.
