I get up in the morning, and, as part of trying to create new habits (better habits), I get into my routine. My routine is pretty basic, and I’m getting better at making certain aspects of my routine more productive. It’s a process, incremental change after incremental change.
I have found that if I write earlier in the day and get it done, I feel better about my day. After all, one of those little promises that I made myself has been fulfilled, and I no longer have to worry about it until the next day.
(At this point, I’m helping my students work through a lab… waiting on software to download can be a bit tedious)

The main thing I guess I should be focused on is the “achievement”. I’m getting my blog done early. I recall the old story about “eating that frog”.
