It’s late in the afternoon here at my workplace, Centriq Training, in Leawood.
Lisa and I talked a little bit about the changes we’re experiencing living out in the country. The stars are brighter, the neighborhood quieter, and the water oh so sweet. I think the kids are adapting well… Dane and Gracie have their spot down in the basement. Last night Lisa and I were alone, watching the Kansas-Oklahoma basketball game (KU lost, free throws matter). We talked about the change and how we’re getting used to it.
I will get used to it, for sure. The night sky will be more inviting in the spring. I look forward to watching the first big meteor shower, with shooting stars shipping across the sky every minute or so.
I look forward to the first cast of a lure into the pond, and the first time I get to cut the grass in the backyard. I look forward to the first cold splash of the pool when we open that up towards the end of May.
I look forward to a lot of things, mainly the rest of my life, and sharing it with Lisa and the kids.
