It’s December 30th, 2017.
Tomorrow we do a couple of things around here. Of course, like everyone else in the world, we celebrate New Year’s Eve.
For us, though, it is a special day, same as it has been the last twenty years, and as it will be tomorrow for the twenty first time.
It’s my oldest daughter’s birthday.
We’ve got a pretty good day planned. To be frank, it was more of a whole weekend sort of thing.
To that end, I am not the most enthusiastic writer. We had cinnamon rolls and maple sugar bacon for breakfast. The ladies went downtown for lunch and Dane and I grabbed a little lunch over at the neighborhood brewpub while a couple of interesting games were on.

Tomorrow, more of the same, Church, a one on one lunch with my daughter, then home to watch the last regular season football game. Maybe a little shopping worked in there, too.
All in all, I expect a pretty low key New Year’s Eve. Not a whole lot going on other than my daughter having a few friends over to bring in the new year with some music and maybe a movie or two.
That’s about it.
Peace y’all.
