It’s Christmas Day, 2017.
Might be more appropriate to say Christmas evening, after all, it is 8:47 right at the moment.
It has bee a wonderful day. The only thing that could have made it better would have been my wife feeling better, but she’s recovering from surgery she had last week, and she wasn’t fit to travel.
We got packed up and headed to Clay Center about 10:30 this morning, watched some sports, enjoyed prime rib and all of the side dishes. There was a good turkey there, too, but this old man is all about the prime rib.
After that, we all gathered around for the annual exchange fo gifts.
My brother, with whom I share a penchant for guitars, had my name this year, and I now have new strings and accessories to keep me feeding the beast. New strings always make a guitar sound better.
There were laughs, and giggles, socks, robes, and edible bits.

We’re all home watching TV now. Lisa has fallen asleep. Dogs are on her lap. And I’ve got a good chunk of a Rittersport chocolate bar left.
I’ll get back to that.
Peace be with you and yours this Christmas day.
Peace y’all.
