Day 19,820

I’m not the most “Christmass” person in my family.

Don’t get me wrong. I love to see the expression on my kids’ collective faces when they open their presents on Christmas morning.

I’m just not really overt about the whole thing.

I seem to find myself always wanting to give more.

I love my kids, and I often feel like I’ve let them down in some way.

We haven’t traveled the world, we have gone to National Parks, we haven’t been to strange and exotic places where people may have been able to make underhanded comments about my family under my nose.

I haven’t taken my kids skiing.

There’s a lot of things I haven’t done with my family, very often it’s because I can’t do those things anymore.

I don’t know that I could put on a set of snow skis an have the first idea what I could do.

Or something else… a fishing trip with guides, perhaps.

Yeah.
