Today was my last formal work day of the year.
This week I had two students for a Microsoft Azure class. I was teaching people how to use some of the offerings in a particular company’s cloud offerings, teaching them how to set up virtual machines, install services, and automate the whole shebang.
I find my career rewarding. A lot of people can’t say that. I hope you can, and I hope you always will be able to say that.
We finished up early, and I have no complaints about that. It’s been a weird work year, with ups and downs, downs and outs. There were times that I was as busy as I ever wanted to be, and other times that I was hoping I’d get a surprise class showing up on my schedule to increase my productivity.
I did a lot of things well this year. I extended my career’s breadth by tackling new technologies. I added depth by adding new certifications.
At the end of the day, we had our annual Beer & Cookie Exchange.
Not a lot of cookies in the mix… plenty of liquid offerings, however.
