An interesting day in the world.
First of all, terrible disaster has hit our hemisphere here. Another hurricane has been tearing through the Caribean. The loss of property is monumental, one of the worst hurricane season in recorded history. Puerto Rico, St. Croix, other islands in that vicinity.
In Mexico, they’ve suffered a 7.1 earthquake, and the death toll is just beginning to get tallied.
And of course, the other disaster, Trump spoke in front of the United Nations and threatened to erase another country off the face of the map.
A move favored by middle-school bullies and white supremacists throughout the land.

There are a lot of things I probably get wrong about being Christian, or being Catholic, but I don’t think Jesus ever preached any sort of gospel about the complete annihilation of another country and all of it’s people.
I pray this administration becomes a historical footnote sooner rather than later.
